In Episode 25, we talk about the many uses and meanings of the words "mean" and "bet."
One of the ways the word "mean" is used in English is 'to signify' (significar), and we give examples of this in Episode 25. This famous scene from the film The Princess Bride (1987) shows one of the main characters, Inigo Montoya, tell another character, Vizzini, that he doesn't think that the word "inconceivable" (inconcebible) means what Vizzini thinks it means. When they see a man climbing up a cliff wall and that he is about to make it to the top, Vizzini exclaims, "He didn't fall?! Inconceivable!" to which Inigo Montoya replies, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
Una de las formas en que la palabra "mean" se usa en inglés es para 'significar' y damos ejemplos de esto en el episodio 25. Esta famosa escena de la película The Princess Bride (1987) muestra a uno de los personajes principales, Íñigo Montoya, le dice a otro personaje, Vizzini, que no cree que la palabra "inconcebible" signifique lo que Vizzini cree que significa. Cuando ven a un hombre trepando por un acantilado y que está a punto de llegar a la cima, Vizzini exclama: "¿No cayó?! ¡Inconcebible!" a lo que Íñigo Montoya responde: "Sigues usando esa palabra. No creo que signifique lo que tú crees que significa."
