La frase "sticky situation" (de episodio 17) es un modismo que es bastante común y útil.
Quiere decir una situación difícil o pegajosa.
A sticky situation means that someone is caught where embarrassment or difficulty may occur. For example, Emma borrows a coat from Janice, and then does not return it, making the excuse that she had left the coat in a taxi. "I'm sorry, Janice," says Emma, "I don't have your beautiful coat anymore. I forgot it when I was in a taxi in Washington, DC."
One month later, Emma is at a party, wearing Janice's coat! Emma looks to the entrance, and Janice is walking into the party! Janice is going to see Emma and know that she is dishonest! Emma jumps into the pantry (el alacena) of the kitchen. "Ay, ay," she thinks to herself, "this is a sticky situation! I've got to get out of here." She runs out the back door (la puerta trasera) and escapes. This time, she has gotten herself out (ha evitado) of her sticky situation, but what about next time (qué tal la próxima vez)?
